Steve debuted as a drummer at the age 8 and has been performing in one manner or another ever since! After graduating high school in upstate NY, Steve went on to serve in the Navy as a hospital corpsman. He was also Drum Captain of the US Navy drum and bugle corps and played defensive end on a local Navy football team. After receiving his Nursing Degree, Steve began an extensive professional career, specializing in ER / Trauma, GI Lab and Psychiatric care. While traveling up and down the East Coast as an RN, Steve continued to hone his acting talents. He made his way to Greenwich Village, NY and studied at the acclaimed HB Studios, with instructors such as Earl Hymen. He also appeared in numerous leading theatrical roles including Sherlock Holmes in “The Penultimate Problem of Sherlock Holmes”, Babby Bobby Bennet in “The Cripple of Innishman”, Paul Verral in “Born Yesterday”, as well as leading musical theatrical roles, including Moonface Martin in “Anything Goes!”. After an 8 year stop in Florida and working as a PADI Dive Instructor, Steve decided to pack his tent and make the move to L.A. Since then, he has settled into the Hollywood traffic and sunshine. His TV appearances include “Without A Trace”, “Charmed” and “Passions” along with several international and national commercials . Steve was also a member of the ensemble cast for HBO’s “Voyeur” project. Local stage credits include “The Last Night of the Last Czar” as Vladamir, “Stalag 17" as Sefton, and Charlie in “Stuck”. Steve continues to expand his talents with ongoing training in several arenas, including voice-over course work with Pat Fraley, improv training at Second City, and master classes with such instructors as Cathy Henderson & Dori Zuckerman, Joey Paul, and Zora DeHorter. Special skills include speaking and reading Russian, Scuba Diving, sword fighting and stage combat. Steve’s other passions include stone sculpting, hiking Runyon Canyon with his dog, and being an armchair quarterback! |
